Sheridan Wimmer
Writer
Sheridan Wimmer is a born-and-raised Kansan who has been telling agriculture’s story for more than 15 years — give or take a couple of years, because she prefers not to date herself. From a PR agency to a pork production company to a small nonprofit and now serving Farm Bureau members in Kansas, her career has introduced her to incredible farmers, ranchers and other professional agriculturists.
As Assistant Director of Communications at Kansas Farm Bureau, she wrangles words, deadlines and occasionally rogue commas (she's a non-Oxford comma user, but adheres to each brand's style guidelines). Her feature writing has earned top honors, including Best Feature from Agricultural Relations Council for her 2024 article on how ranchers are reducing emissions. Sheridan is also the author of Brave Like Brizzie, a children's book about finding courage, which you can absolutely buy on Amazon (shameless plug). Whether she’s interviewing ranchers, capturing stories through her Nikon lenses or crafting social content, she attempts to bring heart and humor to her work.Get a glimpse of her work at www.kansaslivingmagazine.com and/or connect with her on LinkedIn.
